PETALING JAYA: More than 300 tickets are now available for the In Perfect Harmony A Malaysian Musical Journey shows on Oct 19 and Oct 23.
Star Publications (M) Bhd chief events officer Iris Tan said the tickets were earlier meant for private invitations, but due to the overwhelming response, they would be sold to the public.
“All the shows are sold out but we also want to give more Malaysians and performing arts enthusiasts the opportunity to watch the musical.
“The multi-racial acting and singing talents have worked very hard to perfect their performance and present this top class musical,” she said, adding that the musical was staged in conjunction with The Star's 40th anniversary.
Last night's performance also attracted renowned former Hong Kong actress Fung Bo Bo, who was among the crowd of 500 thronging KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) to catch the show.
She described the musical as nostalgic and tastefully done.
Last night also saw The Star hosting its corporate clients and invited guests to the musical as well as 96 winners of the My Challenge contest and 20 winners of The Star-In Perfect Harmony contest.
They cheered and waved their hands in the air, especially during the last act of the show.
One of the winners, performer Isaaq Rusly, 22, said the show was well presented and suitable for all ages.
The musical is on nightly at 8.30pm, except for Mondays and Tuesdays.
There is a 3pm matinee show on weekends until Oct 23.
Tickets are priced from RM100 to RM300 for weekday and weekend nights. Weekend matinee prices range from RM90 to RM250.
For tickets, call KLPac at 03-4047 9000 or visit www.damaorchestra.com.
