Whether you’ve been surrounded by women all your life or not, you know how picky they are. In fact, I’m sure their pickiness drove you nuts on a few occasions.
It’s time us men started beating women at their own game when it comes to dating. The next time you’re on a first date, SHE’LL be the one taken by surprise by how good YOU look. And, to achieve this, you only need my 7 killer tips. Apply them and your second date is almost guaranteed.
Let’s start with #7.

#7 – Don’t go out in a suit

If you want to impress, the secret is not to impress too much. Unless you’re going to the theatre, it’s best to keep your suit at home.
Dressing for the place you plan on going is very important in style so wear appropriate clothes. Since this is a first date, you’re probably going to a restaurant or a café. Wear casual clothes, semi-formal at best.
Bottom line: don’t wear a suit. Try a sports jacket if you must.

#6 – Wear color

Dressing for occasion means knowing when and how to wear color. Color reveals personality. Brighter colors are suitable for extraverts while darker ones are if you are introverted. In any case, don’t show up at your first date wearing all black. You’re not going to a funeral!
Be one step ahead of most men who are afraid of color and make her think about you all night.

#5 – Wear at least one accessory

First date is all about showing your personality as a potential mate. And what better way to do that than wearing accessories?
There are more to choose from than you can imagine. You just need to pick one or two that fit your style.
Here’s the A-list of accessories you should have in your “dating wardrobe”. You can pick from:
- Watches
- Rings
- Scarves (they go well even when it’s not cold outside)
- Hats (gain an inch or two in height but remember to take the hat of when you’re inside)
- Ties (stick to slim ties)
- Bracelets
- Belts (make sure they show)
- Necklaces

#4 – Wear cologne

Perfume is probably the biggest turn on for the opposite sex. Get one that not too many men use. For instance… Fahrenheit Absolute or Ungaro III. Try a few of them on before deciding.
A word of advice: don’t wear too much of it. This is by far the biggest mistake men make when it comes to perfume. They wear too much and fill the entire room with their scent.

#3 – Groom. Triple check the details.

Things such as checking your fingernails, fixing your hair, shaving and taking a long shower need to be triple checked. Don’t walk out the door until you’ve taken a good look at yourself and you’re sure you look great.

#2 – Shoes make the man

Have you noticed women’s obsession with shoes? Well, it’s not their own shoes they’re only obsessed with. They want to see yours as well.
So make sure your shoes are in top shape. Depending on the first date’s location, you can wear from leather shoes to sneakers. Just make sure they blend perfectly with the rest of the outfit and that you’ve cleaned them really well.

#1 – Only wear clothes that fit you

This is the number one rule in style and you need to stick to it each and every time you get out of the house.
Clothes should not be too small or too big, they should fit you like a glove. Don’t wear bigger clothes just so you seem bigger – you’ll achieve the exact opposite.
If a pair of jeans or pants is a little too wide, take it to the tailors for adjustments. It won’t cost you much and the results will be amazing.
All right, now that you have my 7 killer tips, all that needs to be done is apply them. Go get her and make sure you keep her long after this first date!
