BERA: More 1Malaysia shops would be set up throughout the country, even in the districts, to enable more people obtain essential goods at reasonable prices.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said his ministry was identifying suitable locations for these shops.
"We expect to open 60 1Malaysia shops throughout the country next year. Three of them will be in Pahang - Bera, Kuantan and Pekan," he told reporters after attending an Aidilfitri gathering organised by Felda Tembagau settlers near here.
He said 25 such shops would be in operation by the end of the year.
"1Malaysia shops give the people a choice of getting essential goods at more reasonable prices," he said. Bernama
