At first I didn't really get it either. Most people have two endings for this music video. Okay the beginning is that her Grandpa designed a boy to love IU and take care of the clock tower. He is supposed to wake up when IU is 19 (thats why she had that chart circle thing at the beginning.) IU falls in love with the boy and wants to meet him, she can't wait for him to wake up.She goes into the train thing and sees their future together, in love and happy. So she seriously cannot wait and she goes into her time machine and starts it up but he wakes only a few minutes later. She's gone, into the future. Then at the end, they meet. Some say that they are happy together, but some say that she doesn't remember him but he remembers her, so in the song she says "call my name" - Credit to Youtubers.
