GEORGE TOWN: Police are ready for the next general election.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said everyone in the force had been told of their roles for the polls.
“We are ready. Our men will be out there to maintain peace and public order if the election is called any time from now.
“Some of them have been sent for training and courses to ensure that they know their roles during the polls,” he said after attending the 2010 Long Service Awards for auxiliary policemen of Sime Darby Plantation at a hotel here on Saturday.
