KUALA TERENGGANU: An argument among National Service trainees at the Setiu camp led to 10 of them getting into a fist-fight.
The trainees were in their dorms at about 8pm on Friday when the incident happened.
The 10 trainees were sent to Setiu Hospital for outpatient treatment.
Terengganu police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Jamshah Mustafa said police had taken statements from the trainees and investigations were under way. “It was only a small fight and the camp’s management managed to stop it before it became serious.
“The case has been classified under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting,” he told a press conference after the state police monthly assembly here yesterday.
He added that police were monitoring the situation and all the trainees were released soon after their statements were taken
